MICROSOFT NAMES HMS SOFTWARE A "FIRST TO MARKET PARTNER"
Publisher of popular TimeControl timesheet named to prestigious list of Microsoft Office Project 2007 partners
Montreal September 1, 2006 HMS Software, a leading provider of project management and enterprise timesheet solutions, has been named by Microsoft as a "First to Market Partner" for its work integrating it's TimeControl timesheet system with Microsoft Office Project 2007.
"We're very excited about this announcement," said Chris Vandersluis, President of HMS Software. "This distinction is being accorded to only a handful of Independent Software Publishers and we are delighted to have been selected."
"Our development staff were among the first to receive access to the new version of Project Server," explains Stephen Eyton-Jones, HMS Software's Director of Technical Services. "We've already demonstrated the new Server-to-Server link between TimeControl and Project Server at the Microsoft Project Conference in Seattle in January 2006 and again in February at the Project Conference in Munich."
This new Server-to-Server link will be part of a wave of enhancements in TimeControl 5 due to be released in the same timeframe as Project 2007 at the beginning of the year.
TimeControl 5 enhancements will include:
A new Server-to-Server project management link for Microsoft Project Server 2007
Scheduleable project management links
Changes to the data architecture
Extensive new functionality in the Project Management Validation module
A significant update to the web-based interface.
Look out for more about TimeControl 5 and Microsoft's First to Market program in the coming months. As one of the First to Market partners, HMS will be involved in a number of launch activities for Project 2007 leading up to the end-of-year release.
